Pozzuoli, Bacoli, Cumae and Baia are the famous cities that make up the Phlegraean Fields, an active volcanic area by the work of which important archaeological sites have been discovered that preserve the ruins of the most famous ancient Greek cities found to us.
The excursion for the guided tour of the Phlegraean area of Naples starts from your accommodation (or different meeting point requested). You will meet the driver and guide who will accompany you for the duration of the excursion. The guide will take you to the wonders that the Bay of Naples gives us. The first stop will be the Flavian amphitheater in Pozzuoli, the third largest amphitheater ever built by the Romans. We will then continue to the Aragonese castle of Bacoli, an ancient military fortress that rises above the sea. The excursion will continue to the archaeological excavations of Cumae to discover one of the oldest Greek colonies. The last stop will be the underwater park of Baia, the city that was submerged by the waters and for whose visit it is necessary to board the special boat that gives magnificent underwater views thanks to windows placed on the bottom of the boat itself. It will also be possible, at the client's request, to stop for lunch at a typical local restaurant. At the end of the excursion the driver will take you back to the previously arranged meeting point.
